One Day Intensive | £220** | Six places
Neon Neon Neon! Participants will be taught by master neon maker Julia Bickerstaff, and artist Richard William Wheater. The workshop will take place at our neon studio in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Between 10am and 4:30pm, participants will learn everything from transcribing ideas into neon drawings to filling their glass forms with gas. At the end of the day each participant will take home a piece of neon they have designed and helped make or directed in making. Experience is an advantage but not necessary.

Master Class (September) |£560** | Six places
The Neon World A four day course with a tag team of international makers! We will be inviting two neon makers/artists from different parts of the world to each teach their own unique methods of working with glass and neon light. Jochen Holz (Germany) will give demonstrations based on his mesmerizing flame working skills, as well as one-to-one teaching. Matt Dilling (USA) will be flying over from New York to offer two days of experimental neon  state-side style! UK master neon maker Julia Bickerstaff will also be offering teaching support over the four days. This promises to be an energy driven, hands on course, and a real once in a lifetime experience …If you’re interested in neon then this is the hottest course in town. Be prepared to learn and work hard. Experience with glass is beneficial  but not essential. Please get in touch for more information and to reserve a place.

Please note: As there are only six places available per course, it is advised to confirm early to avoid disappointment. On received payment, your place will be confirmed and the remaining necessary workshop itinerary will be forwarded. If you wish to withdraw from the course you will receive full reimbursement provided a minimum of 20 days notice has been given before course date.

* Course price does not include transformer/power supply. This is because there is a wide range available varying in voltage and milliamps. We supply low voltage transformers at £45 and all our high voltage transformers at £60 available on the day. Other suppliers are available though unless you know the exact length and diameter of glass and choice of gas you wish to use, please don’t purchase until the work is
made. Only then can we determine what voltage you will require to power the neon.

* Food and lodgings are not included in the course fee however cafes and fast food outlets are very close by. We also have a list on request of recommended places to stay within a stones throw from the neon studio.
