One Day Intensive

Six participants will be taught by two neon makers and learn everything from transcribing ideas into neon drawings to filling their glass forms with gas.

 

This intensive workshop should be seen as an educational experience rather than a commissioning day. By 5pm everyone takes home a piece of neon they have designed and helped make or direct in the making of. Experience is not necessary.

10am - 5pm (please arrive 9:45am for a 10am start).

Includes 1 hour lunch break, 12:30pm - 1.30pm

*Price includes high frequency neon power supply, worth £108.

All prices are inclusive of 20% VAT. 
 

We teach members of the public from the age of 14 years and above.

Those that are below the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult. 

Course price does not include transformer/power supply unless stated.

Transformers are available from Neon Workshops on the day: £132 for our high frequency transformers and £162 for our traditional iron core outdoor transformers.

Food and lodgings are not included in the course fee unless specified, however cafes and fast food outlets are very close by. We also have a list on request of recommended places to stay within a stones throw from the workshop.

28 days notice required for any amendment to bookings, including cancellations.

If you wish to withdraw from the workshop, you will receive a full refund providing a minimum notice of 28 days before the workshop date is given.

 

In extraordinary circumstances, such as unforeseen staff illness or undersubscribed courses, Neon Workshops reserve the right to cancel workshops at any time. We will always do our best to reschedule the workshop, but if rescheduling is not possible then a refund of the workshop price only will be offered. We are not in a position to offer participants compensation for travel and accommodation.
